Writing, writing, and more writing is something we have embraced with enthusiasm. On our website you can find a Writer’s Guide with excellent information about how to write press releases, letters to local newspaper editors, and op-eds. Important contact information and newspaper deadlines are included there.
We have also been involved in extensive postcard and letter writing campaigns focused on elections throughout the country, partnering with organizations like Lift Every Vote, Sister District, VoteForward, and Mobilize.us, to name just a few. It was exciting to be part of the push to register young voters of color in Georgia and then to write in support of Raphael Warnock during both of his Senate campaigns. The members of one of our other local groups, Brookfields Fight Fear, have joined with us on many of our postcard initiatives and together we have written over 15,000 postcards.
