Increasing awareness of climate change and the unique elements of our New England landscape prompted us to contact librarians in our surrounding towns to see if they would like more books on topics related to the environment. Their resounding yes, coupled with donations from members and friends of Grassroots Central Mass, has allowed us to place books in the Spencer, North Brookfield, West Brookfield, Leicester, Brimfield, and Southbridge public libraries. Additional book donations to local libraries are in the planning stage.
