We’re 18 months into the COVID-19 pandemic and 9 months into a new federal administration and the passage of the Massachusetts Safe Communities Act ( S.1579 and H.2418) is more important than ever. Ending police and court involvement in deportations remains an urgent public health and public safety priority in Massachusetts. Join us for a virtual town hall to hear from immigrant workers, immigrant survivors of domestic violence, and advocates about why the passage of the Safe Communities Act is essential and what you can do to take action. Planning library book donations and future action on plastics reduction
The North Brookfield Public Schools should not use the Indian Chiefs as a mascot. It genuinely offends many members of the community. Please come and join Eric and Karen in front of the town library and support this effort to retire the use of Native Americans as mascots and support the indigenous community as a whole. There will be posters and much literature on this issue to hand out.
Planning future actions, receiving committee reports and discussing issues of interest to the organization.

Moser on Saturday, December 4, 12pm EST - to allow people in Europe/Africa and all US timezones to be able to see it. We will urge our elected leaders to pass legislation to protect our country from anti-democratic forces. Meet by the cupola on the Brookfield Common at 5:30. We encourage participants to wear bright orange or yellow for visibility near traffic. We will have candles and sand in paper bags for lanterns, candles in cups to hold safely, and a solar light…
