Join the National Day of Action: demand that banks stop funding climate chaos. Rally in front of Bank of America on West Boylston Street and march to Chase Bank on Gold Star Boulevard. To avoid climate chaos, no new fossil fuel projects should be built. But Wall Street banks continue to funnel trillions into fossil financing. The Filthiest Four are Chase, Citibank, Wells Fargo, and Bank of America. If these banks refuse to defund fossil fuels, we will refuse to do business with them. Grassroots Central Mass (GCM) will continue its tradition of celebrating Earth Day with its third “Trees Are Treasures” event on Saturday, April 22nd from 11 a.m.-4:00 p.m., at Wells State Park in Sturbridge. Take a family-friendly stroll along the Mill Pond Trail and meet a reformed, tree-loving logger and the Lady of the Wetlands. Walk through the park and hear a naturalist describe its history from the Ice Age to the building of the stone walls which are ubiquitous in our area. Items on the agenda for this meeting include finding candidates to run against State Senator Ryan Fattman, gun safety legislation, and a Climate Change Forum event planned for later this year.
