Grassroots Central Mass (GCM) will continue its tradition of celebrating Earth Day with its third “Trees Are Treasures” event on Saturday, April 22nd from 11 a.m.-4:00 p.m., at Wells State Park in Sturbridge. Take a family-friendly stroll along the Mill Pond Trail and meet a reformed, tree-loving logger and the Lady of the Wetlands. Walk through the park and hear a naturalist describe its history from the Ice Age to the building of the stone walls which are ubiquitous in our area.
